About
My name is Russell Wofford and I’d love to work with you on something creative! I hope you got a chance to look at some of my work. A little about me... I grew up just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, in a family of six. My Dad worked in advertising for over 20 years so he’s to blame for anything creative in me. He exposed me to a little bit of everything surrounding advertising, design, and marketing. He was executive creative director for ad agencies that dealt with multimillion dollar commercials and ad campaigns. My initial interest in visual art, whether it be photography, film, or design, came from seeing his work and being around creative people. I've always been creative minded ever since I was really young. I was much more interested in drawing in my text books than reading them. I started taking pictures with my iPhone in 2013 and editing them using apps like Mextures and VSCO. I was obsessed with taking an ordinary photo and turning it into something beautiful while trying to make it look believable. This sparked my interest in Photoshop which I began using as I outgrew the capabilities of my iPhone 5. However, the vision still stayed the same. My goal was to take fairly simple photos and turn them into something extraordinary, almost better-than-life. I've always been fascinated by colors and color grading. I began this journey using VSCO and different photo apps in my iPhone but eventually transitioned into Lightroom. After making this transition, it was only a matter of time before I began developing my own look and consequently developing my own presets. This is where it got fun! I also began getting more into video editing, specifically color grading. With design, I've always had a fascination for simplicity and a clean look. You can see this if you look through my work... keeping it simple while throwing in some sort of twist. I could talk all day about me and my creative process but I’d rather you take a look for yourself!
Let’s talk about music for a second! Music has always been a big part of my life ever since I was young. I picked up a guitar for the first time when I was 7 years old and have loved it ever since! I’ve played for over 16 years in a variety of worship settings, venues, and musical genres, while also writing, recording, and producing my own original songs. From being in a band through middle school, to writing/producing an album in high school, to playing with the Liberty Worship Collective in college and getting a degree in audio engineering, I’ve had many years of musical experience. I have a deep love and passion for music. Most recently I've been writing new songs and developing my sound. You can see and hear more about this under the ‘Music’ page. I’ve also included my résumé below.
